The property market in Playa Blanca has grown dramatically over the last few years. There is a lot of land for expansion and the area has become popular for tourism and tour operators. Local amenities include a new luxury marina with associatted bars, restaurants and shops. There are some of the islands most luxury five star hotels in Playa Blanca. Just outside of Playa Blanca to the east are the famous unspoilt golden sand beaches of Papagayo in the Papagayo national park. In Playa Blanca itself there is a harbour with car ferries to Corralejo in Fuerteventura and local fishing boats and excursions, a pedestrian only shopping precinct and some great beaches. The resort of Costa Teguise was purpose built for tourism and therefore has great access, beaches and hotels. Costa Teguise has the islands only golf course and aquapark plus some world class windsurfing on Las Cucharas beach. There is a lot of refurbishment of apartment complexes going on in Costa Teguise, so it is easy to pick up some well located property close to the beach and amenities at good prices. Apartments for sale in Costa Teguise start at 87,500 euros or £65,000 for a studio apartment on a good complex with a pool and centrally located. There is plenty of larger property for sale in Costa Teguise, there are some more exclusive areas like 'Ciudad Jardine'.
